BJ, Geraint, John & Paul all came together at last year's Rochefort en Accords Festival and their interaction like that of David Thomas & Rodolphe Burger was one of the events highlights. To bring this quartet back together as a prelude to this year's festival is quite a scoop and an occassion that will be totally unique.
BJ is of course Britian's Pedal-Steel supremo who has played with everyone from Bjork to Tom Jones via Johnny Hallyday no less. Geraint who is as ubiquitous as BJ when not pursuing his solo career has been sighted in the company of Mark Knopfler, Nick Lowe & Paul McCartney... either on piano, guitar or accordian. John Lester who recently opened for Jools Holland is not only an astonishingly good bass player but also a tremendous singer and songwriter something he shares with Paul Tiernan. Paul ex sideman to Donovan writes some of the best songs ever to come out of Ireland via France where he now lives.
This Paris cncert will preceed Paul and John's first UK tour as a partnership.
