Markus Birdman and Malinda Mukuma
Wednesday 3rd September 2025
11, rue des Canettes Paris 6
Expect more fresh, hilarious comedy from these two superb comics.
There will be bits where they're doing stand-up solo
(actually Markus mostly sits, as he's fairly blind),
some together, where they are very rude about each other
and some bits where Malinda is singing like a diva
and Markus is interrupting like a teenager."Grab a ticket. they ’s brilliant.”
Sarah Millican
“How the f**k is Markus Birdman Not Famous?”

Markus Birdman is one of the most original and innovative stand-ups on the UK circuit.
In this, his first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe, he is going beyond the realms of possibility, beyond the pain barrier and beyond the expectations anyone
ever had of a rabbi joke.“that really was a superb joke about rabbis” Rabbi Lionel Bloom
‘’Uniquely talented, demonstrates how it’s done” Evening Standard
Markus Birdman has dazzled Edinburgh audiences in previous years, having appeared in The Comedy Zone (2002) and The Big Value Show (2001), as well as being part of Francesca Martinez’s critically acclaimed show I’mPerfect (2002). He has also been a finalist in The Daily Telegraph Open Mic Awards (2000), the BBC New Comedy Awards (2001) and the Jongleurs New Act competition (2000). With Martinez, he made his debut at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2003 where they performed I’mPerfect to sell-out audiences. As an inventive, curious comic, Birdman artfully hones his skills with every performance.
