Clive Gregson fera son retour à Paris après trois ans d'absence. Pour ceux qui l'ont vu en '99 seule ou en 2000 avec Boo Hewerdine, inutile de vous dire quel fine guitariste et excellent songwriter est notre bonhomme de Manchester (mais résident de Nashville depuis)…. Evidement s'il a joué avec Richard Thompson il avait intérêt d'avoir un certain toucher mais à savoir qui entre les deux ont appris le plus de l'un et l'autre….
Si vous aimez RT vous allez forcement être emballé par CG…
Compagnon d'armes aussi de Christine Collister, Nancy Griffiths, Plainsong et Eddi Reader.
Comme cerise sur le gâteau en invité nous aurions Clare Muldaur fille du grand
Geoff Muldaur une jeune chanteuse bourrée de talent (avec un père pareil !)
qui va certainement s'entendre avec Clive pour nous offrir
quelque chose de magique et inattendu vers le fin de la soirée.

Manchester born Clive currently lives in Nashville where
when he is not falling off his roof, he is much in demand as a sonwriter and session player. He began his carrer in the 1980's with highly acclaimed band "Any Trouble"
and after the band split up he enjoyed a long and successfull collaboration with
Christine Collister before becoming a member of the Richard Thompson band.
Clive along with Peter Case was one of the reasons why I started doing concerts in the first place (look what a musical feast that led to). In my opinion he's one of the all time great songwriters whose work is brilliantly crafted, moving and intelligent. He's also an incredible guitarist who keeps excellent company... Richard thompson, Boo Hewerdine, Eddie Reader and myself seeing as how he's already been to Paris twice before and on the 31st we will be going down to Milano to inaugarate acoustic concerts at the Scimmie.
Oh... and he's a great raconteur.... who can bring two types of tears to your eyes.

Nee sur l'ile de Martha's Vineyard dans l'etat du Massachusetts, Clare est plongee tres jeune dans un environnement musical. Son pere, Geoff Muldaur, chanteur et arrangeur, lui presente les grands musiciens de blues, soul et jazz du debut du XXeme siecle.
Clare ecrit ses premieres chansons a l'age de 15 ans. Elle est ensuite admise au prestigieux “Berklee College of Music” avec une bourse d'etude a Boston ou elle rencontre son mari,Olivier Manchon, violoniste, qui participe a tous ses projets. Elle y termine ses etudes en juin 2000. Depuis, elle a enregistre 2 albums, le premier intitule “Sweetheart” en 2001, et le second, “Bentley Circle” en 2003.
2 de ses chansons ont ete utilisees pour des films Hollywoodiens.
Elle a egalement chante pour de nombreux projets, notemment a Carnegie Hall a New York en Avril 2004 avec Sting, Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor,
Bette Midler et Antonio Banderas.
